SNKP-Bolivia is looking for partners in the Netherlands who want to work together for projects in Bolivia. The nature of the collaboration is arranged according to the wishes and possibilities of both partners.

Some ideas may include the exchange of letters, school newspapers and drawings. Such projects will be co-financed by the Dutch partners, and volunteers in both Bolivia and the Netherlands will supervise the contact. One of the most important activities is assisting Bolivian volunteers in devising their own solutions within Bolivia.

Elementary school “de Rolpaal” in Blokzijl
Since 2000, the Dutch elementary school “de Rolpaal” in Blokzijl has supported the elementary school Soledad Rivas Vda. de Mercado in Vinto. The children from both schools have exchanged books about language formation. Pupils from “de Rolpaal” school have also raised money at their local Christmas market by selling baskets made by Bolivian pupils from Soledad Rivas. The children in the Netherlands have also made placemats, where the profits are sent to Bolivia.

At Soledad Rivas there are 34 children in the preschool and 330 children at the elementary school. In addition to the school director, there are twelve teachers. Most parents have a bad economic situation and earn money by weaving baskets that are sold at markets several times a year.
